Merida English Library (MEL): The Merida English Library began operation with a small cadre of volunteers and several hundred donated used books in a borrowed house. Since its humble beginnings, the library has grown and grown to the point where we don’t know what we’d do without it. MEL not only lends books, it is the “Operation Central” for the international community and organizes many events that add to the quality of our lives. International Women’s Club (IWC): Founded in 1984, this group is open to women of all nationalities who speak English. The goals of the Club are: friendship, personal development and community service.
