Monday
March 1:
All participants will travel independently to the Mexico City airport.
The group will meet there at 11 am. We will drive to Morelia for a four
night stay Tuesday March 2:
Today, we will set out early on our all-day trip to see the winter
residence of the monarch butterflies. Free evening Wednesday March 3:
All day tour to Janitzio and Lake Patzcuaro, including Santa Clara del
Cobre and Tzintzuntzan. Free evening Thursday March 4: Full day
of sightseeing in Friday March 5:
Drive to Guanajuato for a two night stay. Walking tour of historic city
center. Evening with “la
estudiantina” – a strolling minstrel group Saturday March 6:
Further sightseeing in Guanajuato. Free evening Sunday March 7:
Drive to San Miguel de Allende, visiting Dolores Hidalgo en route. We will
stay in San Miguel for two nights. Evening walking tour of San Miguel
Monday March 8:
Further sightseeing in San Miguel de Allende. Evening social activity and
dinner as a group Tuesday March 9:
