Internship Programs for Modern Languages and Tourism Graduates

“I studied my degree in Modern Languages at Tecnología Turística Total. When I finished my four years of study, I was selected as a Graduate Intern and went for six months to Edmundston , New Brunswick , Canada .
At first I was very shy but my friends and professors at “Centre d'excellence du tourisme de l'Atlantique” helped me to overcome my shyness and I quickly improved my French language skills. I also studied tourism related courses.
This international opportunity really helped my professional development; I am now working as a French instructor in Merida.” MARY HELEN RAMIREZ
The Graduate Internship programs allow TTT's graduated Modern Languages and Tourism students to spend six months working and studying in Canada.
Through partnership agreements with Canadian colleges, the interns attend classes, tuition free, for one semester. Following their period of study, an unpaid work program can be arranged.
The participants are responsible for their own travel, personal and living expenses.
The participating students gain language and inter-cultural skills as well as international work experience that assists them in procuring good employment once they return to Mexico.
Students are selected by the following criteria:
Academic standing
Second language proficiency
Cultural sensitivity
Ability to adapt to new surroundings
Ability to procure necessary travel documentation and funding
Leadership skills
Applications for the Graduate Internship Program are available at CIM in November and December each year.
