Faculty Exchange & Professional Development Opportunities

“I participated in a professional exchange between TTT in Merida , Yucatan , Mexico and New Brunswick Community College (NBCC) in St. Andrews , NB , Canada . During my time at NBCC, I taught Spanish and had the opportunity to learn about the educational system, the labor and social structure in Canada .

I enjoyed being able to share perspectives and experiences with Canadian professors and students and I visited many interesting places in the province. As well, the exchange helped me improve my English language skills.” RICARDO ALONZO

An important function of TTT's Casa Internacional Mérida is to promote professional development opportunities for faculty and staff. TTT's partner colleges are also very open to hosting instructor exchanges and work-study sessions. We have found this type of reciprocity fosters enriched professional relationships that are very beneficial to the participants' students. As well, the cultural perspective and international focus that is acquired through these experiences contributes to the overall competence and expertise of our institutions.
