Tecnologia Turistica Total (TTT) was founded in 1990. For the local population, TTT offers two Bachelor programs; one in Tourism Administration and the other in Modern Languages. Both programs are eight semesters long. Upon graduation, most new professionals enter into the local work force while others go onto postgraduate studies in Mexico and abroad. TTT's graduates are well-received in the community and employment in their area of study is consistently above 80%, three months after completing their studies.

TTT also offers programs for international students. These students can chose from a wide variety of academic - intercultural programs; there are many opportunities for interaction with the local students which fosters excellent networking. It is common to see them in groups, assisting one another to learn about the other's language, their culture and customs.

To compliment their studies, both groups of students participate in a wide variety of extracurricular events, excursions, projects and cultural outings. The students enjoy these activities very much.

TTT is located in the heart of Merida 's historic center. Just four bocks from the main square, it is close by all the cultural and tourism infrastructure.

At TTT, the Mexican colonial ambiance is very evident. The educational complex is comprised of three heritage buildings that are linked together by means of courtyards, staircases and archways. Turn-of-the-century tile work, stone patio floors, wrought-iron doors & windows and high-stucco walls add to the effect of being immersed in the charm of “old Merida ”.

TTT's directors are Jorge Carlos Rosado Baeza and Joanna van der Gracht de Rosado. Jorge is an attorney from Merida and his wife, Joanna is a Canadian educator who has lived in the city for 30 years. They have a wealth of knowledge about the area and valuable contacts in the community. They advocate Education as the key to professional success and personal satisfaction and are strong promoters of cultural enrichment. The directors encourage all students to “think global” and expand their life experience through study, work, travel and cultural exchange in different countries. They also believe that learning should happen at every stage of life; through TTT's international centre, Casa Internacional Merida, new opportunities are being created for mature students and retirees.

TTT's teaching staff is international and very committed to providing the students with all the tools for success. There is great camaraderie amongst them and with the administrative personnel; this adds to the friendly, supportive atmosphere at the college.

TTT's two bachelor programs are fully accredited at federal and state levels by the Mexican Secretariat of Education. Through articulation agreements between TTT and its global partners, the international students' credits are awarded by the students' home colleges.
